This is the kind of information I am looking for. The purpose built unit of 16 small flats was completed in the mid 80s and a lot of things have not been touched since then. This includes the very small so purpose built kitchens (now deteriorating), tarmac paths (crumbling and cracking) and car park (small spaces and bamboo coming through from next door who try and remove it periodically). Flats have been painted at times usually between residents but we have a couple who have been here more than 20 years. We do not have records of what has been done when.
Does anyone have a maintenance plan they would not mind sharing? I want to get the stairwells painted but the Trustees deem this as not necessary despite cracks and grubbiness. Quotes were about 3.5-6k for each of the four stairwells. A quote for replacing most of the paths was Ā£15k and declined. I think I need to go to the next Trustee meeting next month with a plan!
