Hello
We don’t have a formal checklist, as our Warden has the experience to immediately notice those things that are awry, when she visits residents each day. However, you could do worse than have your Warden read the practical guide to caring for a home, available at:
https://www.confused.com/home-insurance/guides/monthly-maintenance-checks-for-your-home
and make a simple checklist of all the headings, to be referred to until the various points become second nature.
You’ll find that most of these ‘user checks’ are actually pretty obvious and don’t require any specialist knowledge. But, do remember that these sorts of checks are not the same as, or a substitute for, regular (eg 5 Yearly) property condition surveys, carried out by professional building surveyors (aka Quinquennial Inspections), looking at everything from radon to roof tiles, and leading to remedial maintenance projects (often) funded by an Extraordinary Repairs Fund.
