Can anyone let me know how that works for them in terms of security, allowances, hours etc? 24th March 2025 at 4:04 pm #153716 Tina CollinsParticipant () Hi Lisa I work for three different almshouse charities, as a self-employed clerk so working from home. Being self-employed makes it easier for the charity and me! Regards Tina 24th March 2025 at 6:43 pm #153747 Lisa HockingParticipant (1284) Thanks for your response … we are employing a new clerk soon & want to set up the best way to maintain security of data protection … in your role working for 3 different charities how do you operate ? One computer with separate records or do you have to have a phone/laptop for each? 25th March 2025 at 2:37 pm #153821 Tina CollinsParticipant () Hi Lisa I have dedicated emails and a cloud-shared drive or each charity so the trustees can share access to their charity’s files. As I am self-employed I use my own telephone, laptop, printer etc. Kind regards Tina 27th March 2025 at 9:02 am #153993 a.prior@btinternet.comParticipant () I also have a self employed contract to provide Harveys and Jubilee Homes with an office and clerk. I am lucky to have dedicated room as office for this (and other activities) and a locked filing cabinet for Trustee records. We have never had & don’t anticipate any problems. 27th March 2025 at 10:56 am #154017 Tina CollinsParticipant () I also work from home, with a fully-equipped dedicated office and t works well for me and saves the Charity money 27th March 2025 at 11:20 am #154020 Lisa HockingParticipant (1284) Yes absolutely … that is how I see it & it’s good to know others do similar … Thanks Tine : ) 28th March 2025 at 12:41 pm #154151 clarescottbooth@sheppardtrust.orgParticipant () We’re currently working mostly from home whilst we build. Also using secure cloud drive so absolutely nothing is stored on the laptop and we scan and securely dispose of any paperwork so we have no paper files either.
