    Can a financial assessment be requested from a resident at a time other than when applying for an almshouse?

    I would also be interested to hear views on this. We have some licensees who have been resident for 20+ years and we know their financial situation has changed (for the better) considerably since then.

    We started an annual update from residents covering the full range if stuff we ask when they apply, including financial position, with a declaration. The Trustees felt it was necessary as if financial circumstances had changed then we would potentially be breeching our Charity requirements. The first refresh we undertook flagged a potential problem following an inheritance by a resident, who subsequently went on to buy their own retirement home.
