HMRC Notice to complete a Self Assessment tax return

We have been asked to complete a self assessment tax return by HMRC. I called them and yes – this does need to be actioned. Have any other Almshouse Charities received the same?

Just had a long chat with HMRC.
Apparently, there is a provision on gateway to file as a trust (which we are – a Charitable Trust).
They will send me an activation code, and I will complete with lots of Zeros.
There will be zero tax to pay at the end, providing I tick the right boxes.
At least they give you until December to complete! Many Thanks to Clare Heyes – Legacy East Almshouse Partnership, Jo Williamson and Mike at the AA.
