The property is situated in central Welney near the Church.

The property forms part of a terrace of four adjoining almshouses, each with their own front door and small garden area.

A weekly maintenance contribution (like a rent) is chargeable, payable monthly by Direct Debit. Further details are available upon request.

Preference will be given to Welney residents (or those with a connection to the village) and those in housing need.
Applications are also sought from those residing within the area of benefit (East Cambridgeshire District Council, Fenland District Council and King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council).

Barton & Royle Homes, Turvey, Bedfordshire

Barton & Royle Homes is situated in a private close on the outskirts of Turvey in Bedfordshire. Our accommodation provides 26 self-contained one bedroomed bungalows, designed for older single people or couples to live independently. We have a Community Hall and a Guest Bungalow on site for use by family and friends. There is also a part time on-site Warden and an out of hours emergency call facility in all the bungalows. We currently have a bungalow available, offering one reception room, one bedroom, kitchen and wetroom.

To qualify for our charity, you must be:

  • over the age of 55
  • capable of independent living;
  • able to demonstrate a social or financial need
  • have an association with either the Parish of Turvey or the Borough of Bedford.
