The Ann Smyth Almshouse is a charitable foundation in Ipswich with eight self-contained flats.
The vacant centrally heated flat consists of a bedroom, sitting/dining room, kitchen and shower-room. The occupant will benefit from:
Easy access to all town centre amenities Shared use of a secluded rear garden Connection to Ipswich Hears alarm service Residents are beneficiaries of the Charity and pay a contribution towards the costs of maintaining the Almshouse. Each resident is responsible for paying their own energy bills and council tax.
Criteria
The charityā€™s original purpose was to provide accommodation for poor single women, aged 50 and over, who are communicant members of the Church of England.
Applications are invited from single women who can live independently and who fit these criteria as closely as possible No car parking facility is provided.
