We have had significant issues with TV Licensing this year. Currently they are advising that the rules have changed and that everybody who moved in after Feb 2024 has to pay for a licence now because we do not have above 30 hours of care been given per week. Everybody who moved in before that date has preserved rights on a free concessionary licence. My research suggests thatthis in misinformation, but before contacting TV Licensing again I wanted to check whether anyone else had issues or if I have missed something.

We have not had any problems

Just refer them to the Governemt guidelines

Does your accommodation qualify for a concessionary licence?

I guess if yours were built after 1949 there may be an issue

Thanks William. We have had a concessionary licence for many years. It is very odd as this year they seem unable to recognise us and have sent letters to numerous residents advising that legal action will be taken despite us sending the usual return and making payment. I have spoken to the concessionary licence team so will contact them again.

We had a problem when we relocated Jubilee to a new site. However, TAA sorted out with BBC that it was the charity (dating from 1904) not the site. Since then no problems.
