Our Trust is a long-established charity providing safe, affordable and supportive accommodation for older people in need of assistance across the Stockport area.
Battersby Court comprises 20, one-bedroom bungalows for both single residents and couples, set in a peaceful location with attractive, well-maintained gardens.
Accommodation
Suitable for a couple only
This larger semi-detached one-bedroom bungalow comprises:
- Sitting room
- Brand new fitted kitchen (electrical appliances not included)
- Brand new bathroom with shower
- Double bedroom
- Access to car parking
Residents pay a weekly maintenance charge, which is collected monthly. The current charge is ÂŁ582 per month and is reviewed annually.
Residents are also responsible for:
- Council Tax
- Electricity costs
- Telephone charges
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the Trust’s charitable objectives:
“Aged or infirm persons of good character and deserving of assistance who reside in the Stockport Borough or within a reasonable distance.”
Priority is given to people, or widows, who were previously engaged in business or a profession.
Applicants must also:
- Be capable of living independently and able to look after themselves and their home.
- Complete the Trust’s application process, which includes appropriate checks and an interview at their current address to verify the information provided.
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted.
