Witlet provides clerking services to almshouse charities of any size, including property management, governance, compliance, financial management and resident welfare. We can offer either full management or bespoke services, priced accordingly.
Our team has considerable experience in all aspects of property and almshouse management, in non-profit supported housing for vulnerable people and in charity governance, fundraising and operations. We can help improve the efficiency, effectiveness and longevity of almshouse charities, and assist trustees to fulfil their duties.
We currently clerk for charities in mid Essex and can offer these services to the lower East of England area.
Specifically, we can offer:
- support to trustees on governance, compliance, board meetings, budgets, management accounts and Charities Commission submissions
- property management including responsive repairs, cyclical maintenance, quinquennial surveys, health and safety checks, experience with Listed properties
- resident support including property appointments, visits and safeguarding
- financial management including contribution collection and processing invoices
- grant research and bid-writing to support capital projects and improvements
- ideally located for Essex/Herts/Suffolk/Cambridgeshire
