We want to move to a no-smoking policy and advise new applicants that this is the case. Currently the building is a no-smoking area but residents can smoke in their own apartments. Does anyone have a policy that they would be willing to share?

    Hi Debbie,

The only no smoking policy we have is for staff and not the beneficiaries of the estate. Moving forward, at the interview stage maybe advise the applicant on none smoking and add a paragraph into the agreement they sign with you and also the hand book they receive.

Sorry I cant be of any more help.

    Hi Debbie

We have a no smoking policy in place which includes staff, residents and visitors. Smoking is not permitted in the flats, communal areas or any part of the grounds. We advice potential residents of this at the inquiry stage and throughout the application process.

This has been in force since before I worked here and I believe it was phased in for new residents and eventually we became a no smoking Almshouse.

    Hope this helps
