We use Safety Foward. They’re Midlands based but they’re a growing company and may cover your area. I’ve known Marisa (the owner) from the start and I can recommend her and the whole team.

I use Utility Aid and have had a different experience. We’re on a half hourly business tariff, so we’re restricted on suppliers and it’s not always as easy to compare ourselves. Utility Aid have been very good, and sorted out problems I queried with a bill a couple of times. I have one contact who I can even text if I have a quick question! No sales calls at all – which to me is worth any commission or charges we might pay for. But the rates are good (for us) and my contact even lets me know if there’s a good opportunity to tie in a contract long before it’s due, which has always worked out as the right decision.

I found BlackRock incredibly frustrating to deal with and I inherited problems that took years to resolve. I can recommend M&G Charifund. They’re ethical, the charges are low and the investment is performing very well. The only comment is they don’t provide report packs or much at all apart from statements, and valuations if you ask for them, which can take 2-3 weeks to arrive by post, but you can call up for a valuation over the phone.

I can highly recommend the Trustee Recruitment training provided by TAA. Inductions and documents were all very well covered – it wasn’t just how to attract Trustees.
