I am not sure if this helps but we have two Miele washing machines and a dryer. We don’t have a service contract and have never found this an issue. We are fortunate that residents take good care when using them. In 6.5 years there have only been three call outs and these have been fairly cheap repairs. We are lucky that there are several local Miele specialists, who can visit promptly.
With one washing machine, a service plan might be better.
