The studio comprises of one room plus a small kitchen with cooker + fridge/freezer and a shower room, parking on the street (with a council residents’ parking permit), the use of secluded communal gardens and a communal laundry room.

Criteria:

We are a small organisation that offers accommodation to single women aged 50 + years.

The criteria for joining is as follows:

  1. You must be able to live independently.
  2. Have limited financial means.
  3. Are happy to live in a small community.

While most residents will be retired, the organisation recognises that some residents may need to work full or part time.

The process for applying is that once you have emailed to say you are interested,  you will be sent a registration form, then once you send it back, you will be invited to  come and see the apartment if it is still available and meet some members of the committee.

Accommodation

A small (365 square feet), ground floor, non-smoking, 1-bed flat (single occupancy) has become available at the Hatcliffe Almshouses in Greenwich. 

The current weekly maintenance contribution (WMC) is £140.14 per week (equivalent to £607.27 per month) plus bills.

Criteria

Applicants must be in need, aged 55 or over, live within 5 miles of the Almshouses (SE10 9UY) and South of the Thames, be capable of independent living and looking to contribute positively to the Hatcliffe community. 

Under the terms of our Charity Scheme, preference will be given to women.
