AGM 2026

The Almshouse Association 75th Annual General Meeting will be held via video conferencing on Thursday 25 June 2026 at 11am.

As set out in our governing documents, the AGM covers a reflection on the activities of The Almshouse Association, the adoption of the Annual Report and accounts of the Association, the appointment/reappointment of trustees and auditors and ends with a presentation on future strategy.

The AGM is open to all member charities. Details on how to vote and join the AGM will be posted here when finalised.

Wessex Almshouse Group Meeting (WAG)

The WAG is an informal, un-minuted networking group, aimed principally at the clerks and trustees of the smaller almshouse organisations in the Wiltshire, Somerset, Hampshire and Dorset area (say 40 units and below). Wardens are welcome to attend as well if they wish.

We meet at Sarum College in Salisbury Cathedral Close (SP1 2EE) from 13:00 – 16:00. A buffet lunch is provided on arrival. All attendees pay £15 (food and venue hire) on the day.

Project Manager Essentials online training

This Dementia Awareness course offers the information you need to better understand the condition and the abundance of support and care that’s available.

It covers the signs, symptoms and different types of dementia; the impact that symptoms have on people physically, socially and emotionally; the responsibility of employers; the role of carers and community systems; and it offers practical guidance on how to live well with dementia. 

This training course is broken down into 3 sections:
