We are pleased to be able to offer a refurbished two bedroomed self contained cottage situated in the centre of the village of Upper Strensham, Worcestershire.

The accommodation is unfurnished and consists of a lounge, kitchen, 2 bedrooms (bed 2 is a small single) and a shower room.

One of three almshouses, it shares a small South facing courtyard at the front and access at the rear. The buildings date from 1697 but have undergone updating and renovation.

The accommodation has electric heating.

Own transport an advantage as there is no public transport in the village. On road parking available.

Criteria

Would suit single person or couple, age 65 and over who can live independently and of limited financial means.

No smoking and no pets.

A local connection would be preferred.

Are you, or someone you know in the Netherton area, over 60 and needing low-cost accommodation?

Accommodation

An Almshouse unfurnished bed sit has become available in Netherton which is suitable for a single person/couple (sorry no children).  Must be able to live independently. 

The properties were left as a gift to the residents of Netherton, South Crosland and Beaumont Park in need of low-cost rental accommodation for people with limited financial means.  The total payment is the weekly maintenance contribution, which is £250 each quarter, payable in advance.

Criteria

We welcome applicants from adjoining Parishes, Armitage Bridge, Crosland Moor, Honley, Lockwood, Meltham and Newsome, but priority would be given to residents of Netherton, South Crosland and Beaumont Park, Huddersfield.
