Accommodation:
Godsafe Almshouses have a vacant 1 Bedroom First Floor Flat for sole occupancy. Kitchen, lounge and bathroom with shower cubicle (no bath). Access by lift/stairs.
Option to have telecare service which we will pay for. You will need to have a landline for this if so.
One well behaved small pet allowed but permission from Trustees is required. Peaceful communal gardens. The Charity only employs a part time Clerk who works from home, there are no staff on site.
Criteria:
Must be single and over 55 years
Must have a past or present connection to Harlow
Must be reasonably active and able to live independently as care is not provided. Any support will need to come from family/friends.
You should be in a social, financial or housing need.
You should be eligible for housing benefit/costs, as the main aim of the Almshouses is to help those in financial need.
You must not own or part own a property.
