The Talbot Village Almshouses were endowed by 2 sisters Mary and Georgina Talbot in 1862. They were part of Talbot model village which was created by the sisters.
They are still run by the Talbot Village Almshouses Trust.
A one-bedroom recently renovated ground floor terraced almshouse situated in the historic town of Talbot.

Residents pay a weekly maintenance charge, currently £ 130.62 per week, reviewed annually.
Residents are responsible for

- internet/broadband
Criteria:
Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need and:
- Be over 65 years old
- Be capable of living independently and able to look after themselves and their home.
- Complete the Trust’s application process, which includes appropriate checks and an interview at their current address to verify the information provided.
- Inhabitants of the boroughs of either Poole or Bournemouth, with a preference for those who have ever resided in Talbot Village.
