Accommodation: 1 bedroom single 1st floor property – single occupant

Criteria:

Age: Male of not less than 65 years and female of not less than 60 years

Capital Asset Limit: Capital assets do not exceed £30,000 per person (£50,000 asset limit for couples)

Income: Total annual income to not exceed £16,500 per person

The total income to be interpreted as per each individual living within a property.

This includes any paid work carried out by individuals

Residency Status and time lived in the UK: Applicants to be subject to ā€˜Right to Rent’ checks and to include ā€œan individual having lived in the UK for 5 years prior to applicationā€

Engagement in a specific area: Priority to be given to individuals or the spouses of those who have been engaged in commerce or agricultural pursuits

Housing Need: A defined housing need including but not exhaustive to:

Currently renting privately on shorthold tenancies, so lack of security of housing in the future

At risk of involuntary homelessness

Medical or welfare need which is exacerbated by their present accommodation
