Resident vacancies

Although The Almshouse Association does not provide accommodation itself, we are keen to support those who see an almshouse as a potential home. In this section, we hope to be able to assist prospective almshouse residents by providing some advice about how they might identify an almshouse charity that meets their needs. We also provide some key information about what an almshouse is and explain how it is slightly different to other forms of social housing in a way that makes them both unique and an important part of community life in the UK.

Applicants for almshouse charities usually have to be able to live independently.  Some charities do have a Warden or Scheme Manager but they are not able to provide personal care.

More information about finding an almshouse charity can be found here. Listed below are current vacancies that have been sent to us from the charities (Please use the search function to the right to select your desired region).
