Members hold their own local and regional almshouse meetings and can advertise them here on our Meetings page. If you have a meeting you would like us to promote, please email admin@almshouses.org with full details. Members can use the templates below if needed.

Sheffield Almshouses Coffee Morning

Dear Sheffield Almshouses Trustees and Clerks,

We would like to invite you to a local almshouse get-together taking place on 4th November 2025, 10-12 in the Community Hall at Firth Homes, 1 Nethergreen Road, Sheffield, S11 7EG

This informal coffee morning will be an opportunity to meet with fellow trustees, clerks and wardens to chat about your almshouses over a cup of tea.

There is plenty of free street parking available on the surrounding roads, please note the car park at Firth’s is for residents only.

Wessex Almshouse Group Meeting (WAG)

The WAG is an informal, un-minuted networking group, aimed principally at the clerks and trustees of the smaller almshouse organisations in the Wiltshire, Somerset, Hampshire and Dorset area (say 40 units and below). Wardens are welcome to attend as well if they wish.

We meet at Sarum College in Salisbury Cathedral Close (SP1 2EE) from 13:00 – 16:00. A buffet lunch is provided on arrival. All attendees pay £15 (food and venue hire) on the day.

If you would like to join WAG, please email Nick Stiven (St John’s Hospital, Wilton) at stjohnswilton@outlook.com. A calling notice is emailed to all WAG members before each meeting, so we have an idea of numbers and the topics that members want to discuss.
