The pandemic meant that our plans for a big Members day for our 75th anniversary celebration get together in 2021 needed to be postponed until 2022 when we hope that more people will be able to enjoy the day in a more relaxed environment.
The 75th anniversary year of The Almshouse Association did not go unmarked though and thanks to the generosity of one of our board members, we were able to hold a small garden party to recognise and mark the 75 years of The Almshouse Association, to celebrate and award the Gardens and People Award and Patron’s Award winners and join with you ‘in spirit’ in holding a garden party event to connect with trustees, residents and members of the public and raise the profile of almshouses locally.
