Our are around the £170/week mark including utilities – in Suffolk. I would recommend getting a fair rent assessment – it doesn’t cost much and is a useful benchmark. As said above – also use the LHA limit as a guide.

Our Charity also looks at CPI and RPI and salaries get reviewed annually. We have 4 members of staff, Me (Clerk) and 3 Scheme Managers. I’d be happy to share information in a benchmarking exercise.

We have a policy – which I’m happy to send to anyone that want it but interested to see what others have in their policy. I wonder if ours is too general/generic and need to be more specific.
We have a resident about to be discharged from hospital with a 4 times a day care visit. There has been not discussion had with us, just a ‘phone call to take delivery of a range of equipment including hospital bed.
Do you consider this to be independent living?
