We recently used Shield / Arbour.
We have also previously used Salvum, but their quote was a little more expensive on a recent visit to a different property so we used Shield.
Both companies seem good.

Hi Sue,
We use Dantek for our legionella risk assessments. Because we are low risk with four almshouses and no water tanks, they recommend visiting every 5 years.
In the meantime I currently test the hot and cold water temperature in each flat on a four-weekly basis and record the results. Dantek did their five year visit this week and told me I only need to do it every three months!

We have an interesting one with our detectors. Our fire alarm maintenance people recently installed new heat and smoke detectors in each flat and they don’t have test buttons on them. When I queried them about it (because our residents handbook advises residents to test monthly), they said that this isn’t needed as they do a six-monthly check.
I am going with that for now as that was the official advice, but I’ll be interested to hear what the fire risk assessor says when he visits us in the summer…!
