We have a first floor flat available that would suit a single person at our Almshouse, which occupies a central position on the High Street in Guildford.
The flat is within the modern section of the Almshouse and overlooks a beautiful communal garden. It has recently been refurbished and has a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom with a level floor shower. An emergency call system is installed.
The flats are set within the grounds of the original Almshouse built over 400 years ago and are within easy reach of local services. Staff work hard to provide a supportive environment, enabling residents to live independently.
To be considered for a flat, applicants must meet the following criteria
- be at least 60 years of age
- be born in the Borough of Guildford or have lived in the Borough for 20 years or 2 years immediately prior to the date of your application
- be eligible to receive Housing Benefit
- be capable of independent living – able to look after yourself and your home
